Pastor Andre' Kirkland

Pastor Andre’ A. Kirkland is a native of Shelby, MS. He accepted Christ at the age of seven. Throughout high school he served as a church musician for the First Baptist Church in Mound Bayou, MS. He attended the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff (UAPB), where he also served as a church musician. While in college he played football and was a Spring 2009 initiate to the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He graduated from UAPB in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

He accepted the call to the gospel ministry in December of 2012. Pastor Dr. Phillip L. Pointer at Saint Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR licensed him to the gospel ministry in 2013 and ordained him in 2019.

Pastor Kirkland served as Youth Pastor for various ministries located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He also pastored in Chicago, Illinois from 2019 to 2022. He currently serves as Associate Pastor of Teaching & Discipleship. In addition to his pastoral duties, he also serves as an adjunct professor, speaker, and contributing writer, while holding memberships with various theological societies. 

He holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Fort Worth, Texas. He is currently in the dissertation stage of his Ph.D. program in Practical Theology, at Mid-America
Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN.

Pastor Kirkland’s experience with youth ministry and as a senior pastor has equipped him to communicate, connect, and lead people spanning multiple generations. He is married to his lovely bride, Shana, and they have two sons, Kalil and Elisha.
