Executive Council Candidate - Valencia Scott
Valencia Scott relocated to Rowlett, Texas from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband, Anthony, in September 1995. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Prior to moving to Texas, Valencia was a faithful member of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Willie D. Wanzo, Sr. During her time at Metropolitan, she served on the Young Adult Usher Board as both a leader and usher. Valencia joined Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in December 1995 and has faithfully served in various ministries.

- Grief and Loss Ministry
- HR Ministry
- Care Group Administrator
- Care Group Captain
Valencia has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Training and Development. Over the past two years as the Executive Council Human Resources Liaison, she has continued to hone her skills in these areas by working closely with the Mt. Hebron staff. Valencia currently works part-time for a counseling service and is in the process of obtaining her “From Grief to Gratitude” Coaching Certification.
Outside of her professional life, Valencia maintains her relationship with the Lord through her daily devotions and as a devoted member of the Bible Study Fellowship for the past seven years. She is also actively involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentor2.0 Program and served for four years on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Collin County Board. In addition, she enjoys spending time with family/friends, traveling, volunteering at church, and planning events.
Valencia is grateful and blessed to have served in the roles of Secretary and Vice Chair of the Executive Council. She is truly dedicated to the Executive Council and the future of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church!
